Hanford & Willard have continually been  since in full possession of the property have had the corn gathered and sent and were in the act of sending off the cotton when it was seized at the Railway station by the U.S. Revenue Officers for want of payment of the cotton tax.

Thus under our very noses are we robbed and defrauded and yet are powerless. Unless something is done in our favor the $6165 due from Hanford & Willard is a dead loss through the illegal act of E. M.
