County of Colorado

Know all men by these presents that we David H. Crisp, Agent and attorney for John H. Crisp, and Alexander Crisp in his own name and right, for and in consideration of the sum of four thousand one hundred and forty dollars, to us in hand paid the receipt whereof whereby acknowledged, have this day bargained, sold and delivered, and do by these presents bargain, sell and convey unto Thomas C. Hanford and Charles D. Willard the following describe property to wit: all of our right title and interest to the crops of both cotton and corn not being grown and cultivated upon the plantations formerly owned and occupied by John H. Crisp. situated on the East bank of the Colorado River in Colorado County, Estimated to be Four Hundred acres of cotton and three hundred acres of corn, be the same more or less, Fifteen work mules now on the said plantation: Two Horses: Thirty ploughs, twenty of said ploughs being cast and ten wrought iron: Seven Yoke of oxen: Seven Yokes: and six chains: one ox wagon; all of our Entire stock of cattle on said plantation and vicinity, branded and marked H.C and A.C. more or less, supposed to be one Hundred and Fifty head: all of the Entire stock of hogs belonging to the said John H. Crisp, marked and unmarked, marked cross and slit and underbit on each ear, supposed to be one hundred and fifty head, be the same more or less: one Rail Road cart and two sets of gear for the same: Twenty one sets of homes and
