Know all men by these presents that I John H. Crisp of the County of Colorado and State of Texas have this day nominated and appointed Dr. David H. Crisp of the county and state aforesaid my true and lawful attorney in fact to attend to all my business in my absence such as billing my household goods; all my stock mule waggon and plantation tools also to sell my part of the crop, receive rents and also to take charge of what debts are owing me to sue and be sued and to all and everything appertaining to the above business as fully and legally as if I were personally present at the doing of the same and hereby ratifying confirming whatever my true & lawful attorney may do in the premises
