Liberty. Liberty Co. July 15th 1867.

Sergeant Fredrick Strawhaten, C. Co 17th Infty. with a guard of three men, having reported to these Hd Qrts for duty in accordance with "Special Orders No 78, Hd Qrts. Post of Houston. Houston, Texas. July 11th 1867," will proceed with his guard into "Tarkington Prairie" and then & there arrest Sam H. Donoho, D.W. Donoho, William Kellar, Joe Kellar, & Jim ~~~ all white men, also freedman Wade Hampton, and any other white man or freedman who are known to the assault made upon said Wade Hampton by the said Donoho's & others, immediately upon the arrest of said Prisoners, will proceed with them without delay to Hd Qrts Post of Houston, Reporting the same to Bvt Colonel J. D. O'Connell U.S.A. Commdg Post.
