The undersigned citizens of the Town of Marlin present for your consideration the following statements of facts
That in the month of April last A.P. Delano, former Sub. Asst. Comr. and Post Master at this place was arrested on charge of violating the Postal laws in using and disposing of Postage stamps that had been used. After being kept in custody of the military some two days he was discharged by Mr. F.B. Sturgis at present and then Sub. Asst Comr. of the Freedmans Bureau, on the conditions that he surrendered to Thomas Chubbs the house & lot on which he the said Delano then & still resides, and all right & title thereto, he having purchased the same from the said Chubb, holding the said Chubb's obligation for Title and upon which, he the said Delano had commenced suit.
