Report of Industrial School on Capitol Hill For the Month of April 1867 1 No of hours taught = 1 1/2 beginning at 2 o'clock closing at 3 2 No of Teachers = 2 Harriette Carter and Eliza Heacock 3 No of Scholars = 70 4 Average attendance = 38 5 Always present = 7 12 Number who take work home = 69 13 Branches taught = Sewing and Shaw braiding 15 Aid from Bureau = Fuel and the room for holding the school 16 Aid from other Sources = one box of second hand clothing from Framingham Mass, the material used reported last month 17 = Amount of work finished = 234 garments and 22 hats made 350 yds. of shaw braid and 13 days work in scrubbing school rooms 18 = Amount given away = 255 garments and 6 hats 3 bibles 19 = Amount Sold = 5 hats Remarks = The hats are the only articles that are sold. The proceeds are used to purchase such articles as are needed for the school or in [[delicasies?]] for the Sick. The number that take work home 49 are women, and are not counted with the children in all making, 139 scholars Eliza Heacock
