Wisewell Barracks Industrial School Nov. 30th 1867 Mr Kimball, At your request I have the honor to report for October & November as follows. During October several men & women were employed in whitewashing, cleaning & arranging for the opening of school at the beginning of November A few names were enrolled but the school did not regularly open till November 1st. The session is from 8 A.M. to 1 P.M. - 5 hours. There is no school on Wednesdays. Two volunteer teachers, without salary, give instruction in Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, General Housework, Cutting & Making garments, mending & Knitting. 44 names enrolled - 5 men, 33 women & 6 children. None receive rations - 2 have been aided by the relief Commissin. The Bureau prevides rooms & fuel but no material. One Barrel of second-hand clothing has been
