Mr. Charles L. Freer,

Dear Mr. Freer:-

This is an official letter to beg of you with all my heart on my bended knees if you will lend me your beautiful Ryder that was in the exhibition at the Metropolitan. I have secured nearly all the Ryders for my coming exhibition and I want to make a very important group. This cannot be done without the lovely one that you own and, oh, I wish I might have it:

Did you know that Mr. Angus of Montreal had given me his Ryder, "The Temple of the Mind", as a present for the Albright Art Gallery? Don't you think that is fine? I am so happy about it. I do hope that you are well and happy and that everything is going right for you.

I was away finishing my Summer Show and on my return I found the wonderful Buddha and the prayer rug,and I am going to write you personally about them right off. I am crazy with joy.

Devotedly and sincerely your friend,
Cornelia B. Sage
