More than anybody else in his country - you so to say symbolize [[^w]] the best of the Eastern traditions - & that is the main reason of our desire to have you as one of the Patrons of the New Institute.

Thus far the idea has been indorsed by almost all 80 the leading scientists, philosophers and historians of this country. I enclose a letter from Dr. Graham Bell which is typical of many that I have received, short & to the point.
