My dear Tora:-

It was a great pleasure to receive here, at my home, on Christmas morning, your good letter of December 2nd, and the Christmas card enclosed therein. I thank you for your good wishes, and in return I hope that yourself and family will all enjoy a prosperous and Happy New Year.

I enjoyed seeing yourself and wife and your daughter during my stay in Kyoto, and I am hoping, soon, to meet your son in New York.

Believe me,

With all good wishes,

Sincerely your friend,
Charles L. Freer
