I.  Brvt Col. H. Seymour Hall, U.S.C, Infty having reported to these Hd Qrs for duty pursuant to S.O. No 24, Headquarters Dept. of Texas, is hereby assigned to duty as Asstant Superintent Freedmen &v, Marshall, Texas, and will proceed to Marshall Texas, without delay and assume the duties as required by law and the regulations of this Bureau as soon thereafter as possible.

I. Brvt. Lieut. Col. J.C. De Grass [[DeGress]], Provost Marshall Eastern District of Texas, is by consent of Major Genl Mower, Com'd'g said District, assigned to and will take charge of the Freedman's Bureau of that part of the Dist. which is not occupied by other Commissioners assigned to duty from these Headquarters.

II.  1st Lieut. E.M. Wheelock. 76th U.S.C. Infty having reported to this Bureau for duty pursuant to S.O. No 64. Headquarters Mil. Div. of the Gulf. dated New Orleans. La, Sept 27th 1865, is hereby assigned to duty as Superintendent of Schools for Freedmen and Refugees for this State.
