M. E. Davis, Sub-Asst. Commissioner of this Bureau, at Brenham, Washington Co., Texas, is hereby authorized to employ a clerk in his office, at a salary of seventy five dollars per month for a period of one month, from January 1st 1867.

I. E. C. Bartholomew. is hereby relieved from duty as an Agent of this Bureau, for the purpose of being employed as a clerk at these Headquarters.
 
II. Leave of absence for thirty (30) days with a recommendation to the War Department, Bureau Refugees,  Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands for an extension of fifteen (15) days, is hereby granted to Capt. Nathan H. Randlett, V.R.C., Sub-Asst. Commissioner of this Bureau at Courtney Grimes County. Texas.

III. Thos Bayley, (late Col. U.S. Vols.) is hereby appointed an Agent of Bureau of R.F.&A.L., under the third Section of Bureau Act. approved July 16" 1866, at a salary of one hundred dollars per month, to date from Nov. 26" 1866, and is assigned to duty. as Sus-Assistant Commissioner. at Marshall, Harrison Co. Texas.

IV. J. C. DeGress. (late Bvt. Lt. Col. U.S. Vols.) is, at his own request, hereby relieved from duty in this Bureau. as Sub-Assistant Commissioner. and will transfer to Captain Pease. 17" U.S. Infty., (who will relieve him) all Books, Records and other property belonging to this Bureau, that he may have in his possession.
