Thos. G. Baird. A.A. Surgeon. U.S.A., is hereby relieved from duty in this Bureau, to date Dec. 31st 1866. his contract having been annulled on that date, at his own request.

I. Surgeon S. J. W. Mintzer, U.S. Vols., Surgeon in chief Bureau R.F.&A.L., for this State, will proceed to Houston, for the purpose of making arrangements concerning the removal of the Freedmen's Hospital at that place; upon the completion of which, he will return to these Headquarters.
 
II. De Witt C. Brown, (late Col. U.S. Vols.) is hereby appointed an Agent of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, under the third Section of the Bureau Law, passed July 16. 1866 at a salary of one hundred dollars per month.
 
III. A. M. Sperry. is hereby appointed an Agent of this Bureau under the third Section of the Bureau Law, passed July 16. 1866 at a salary of fifty dollars per month. Mr. Sperry is assigned to duty as Traveling Agent, and his special duty will be to look after abandoned or convertible property. and to report available points for the organization of Schools.

I. A. P. Delano. Sub.-Assistant Commissioner at Marlin, Falls County, Texas, is hereby relieved from duty in this Bureau.  Mr Delano will turn over to F.B. Sturgis, Esq. (who will relieve him) all Books, Records, and other property belonging to this Bureau that he may have in his possessio.
   II. F.B. Sturgis, Esq., is hereby relieved from the duty he may now be performing, and it assigned to duty as Sub. Asst. Commissioner at Marlin, Falls County, Texas, relieving A.P. Delano, Esq.
  Mr. Sturgis will proceed to Marlin, and at once enter upon the discharge of the duties of his office.
   III.  DeWitt C. Brown, (late Col. U.S. Vols) and Agent of this Bureau, is hereby assigned to duty as Sub. Asst. Commissioner at Courtney, Grimes County, Texas, during the temporary absence of Capt. Randlett, V.R.C. upon "leave of absence."
