Washington county, Texas, for the purpose of adjusting some difficulties, existing in this Bureau at that place; upon the completion of which he will return to his station.

The Quartermaster's Department will furnish the necessary transportation.

II. Col. De Witt C. Brown, is hereby relieved from duty as Sub-Assistant Commissioner, Bureau Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, at Wharton, Texas.

Col. Brown will transfer to Maj. Ira H. Evans who will relieve him, all books, records, orders and other property pertaining to his office, and at once report in person at these Headquarters.

III Maj. Ira H. Evans, Agent of this Bureau, is hereby assigned to duty as Sub-Assistant Commissioner, of Wharton county, with his office at Wharton.

He will receipt to Col. Brown for all property of this Bureau at that place, and immediately enter upon the discharge of the duties of his office, in accordance with the Acts of Congress and the regulations of the Bureau governing.

I  Capt. Wm G. Kirkman, Agent of this Bureau is hereby assigned to duty as Sub-Assistant Commissioner of Bowie Co, Texas, with his office at Boston.

Capt. Kirkman will at once proceed to Boston and enter upon the discharge of the duties of his office, in accordance with the Acts of Congress, and the regulations of the Bureau governing.

II. Louis H. Jacobs, Esq., is hereby relieved from duty as Sub-Assistant Commissioner at Crockett, Houston Co Texas.

He will transfer to Capt Fred. W. Reinhard (who will relieve him) all property of this Bureau at that place. 

III. Capt. Fred. W. Reinhard, Sub-Assistant C'r of Leon Co Texas, will, in addition to his present duties, perform those of Sub-Assistant Com'r of Houston Co
 
He will immediately proceed to Crockett, Texas, and receipt to Louis H. Jacobs, Esq., (whom he will relieve) from all property of this Bureau at that place. 

Capt. Reinhard will retain the office at Crockett, and spend such portion of his time at that place as may be necessary to transact the business of the Bureau for that county.

I. Oscar, F. Hunsaker, Esq., Agent Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, will at once proceed to Sterling, Robertson county, Texas, for the purpose of transacting business connected with this Bureau at that place; upon the completion of which he will return to these Headquarters.

The Quartermaster's Department will furnish the necessary transportation.

II. Miss Elizabeth M. Evans, Teacher of Freedmen's School, at Austin city, Texas, will immediately proceed to Houston, Harris County, Texas, and report to the Sub-Assistant Commissioner at that place.

The Quartermaster's Department will furnish the necessary transportation. 

III. Miss Louvan P. Wheeler, Teacher of Freedmen's School, at Alleyton, Colorado county, Texas, will immediately report at these Headquarters.
 
The Quartermaster's Department will furnish the necessary transportation. 

IV. Col. De Witt C. Brown, Agent of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands. State of Texas, will at once proceed to the counties of Harrison, Carr, Bowie, Titus and Wood, on business connected with this Bureau, upon the completion of which, he will report in person to Bv't Col. Levi C Bootes, Sub-Assistant Commissioner, at Tyler, Smith Co, Texas, for duty.

On account of high water of the river and the irregularity of the stages in this State, he will go via New Orleans, La.
