I The County of Brazoria is hereby added to the Sub. District under the charge of William H. Rock Esq (late Bvt Capt U.S. Vols) and with Fort Bend County will constitute the 4th Sub District.

I. Par I Specials orders No 97. Current Series from these Headquarters is hereby revoked.

II. Mr A. N. Rolfe, Agent. Bureau of Refugees Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, having reported at these Head Quarters in compliance with Par XII. Special Orders No 155 dated War Department Bureau. Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands. Washington, October 3, 1867, is hereby assigned to duty as Sub. Asst Commissioner for the county of Brazoria, with his office at Columbia, He will at once proceed to his station and enter upon the discharge of the duties of his office in accordance with the acts of Congress and regulations governing

III.  Mr F. B. Sturgis. Sub Asst Commissioner. Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands. State of Texas, is relieved from further duty in this Bureau, to take effect Nov 30. 1867, and will transfer to Capt J. J. Emerson. Sub Asst Commissioner at Waco, all books, records &c pertaining to his office at Marlin.

He will receive no final payments until he shall have satisfied the disbursing officer by proper certificates, that he is not in debted to the Government.

IV.  The County of Falls is annexed to the 36th Sub District, and Capt J. J. Emerson. 26 U.S. Inf. will perform the duties of Sub Asst Commissioner for the same in addition to his present duties.
