Special Orders. 
N.o. 26
I The 24th Sub District comprising the counties of Guadalupe, Wilson and Gonzales is reestablished. 
Mr. C. C. Raymond, Agent Bureau of Refugee, Freemen and Abandoned Lands, is assigned to duty as Sub. Assistant Commissioner for said Sub District, with his office at Seguin. This order to date May 1, 1868. 
II Brevet Major E.W.Whittmore Sub Assistant Commissioner at San Antonio, Texas will transfer C.C. Raymond. Sub Assistant Commissioner at Seguin, Texas the order records and other property pertaining to the 24th Sub. District. 
III. That portion of Matagorda county lying east of the Colorado river is hereby detached from the 5th and annexed to the 4th Sub District.

No 24
I Private Daniel W. Barrett Co "G" 14th Infantry will report to W. N Norton, Sub Assistant Commissioner at Bastrop Texas for duty.
The Quartermaster's Department will furnish the necessary transportation.
II Private Henry Young 26th Infantry will proceed to Circleville, Williamson County, Texas via Georgetown, on business connected with the school department of this Bureau upon the completion of which he will return to these Headquarters.
The Quartermaster's Department will furnish the necessary transportation.
III Mr B. F. Hardcastle, Teacher of this Bureau, will proceed to Bastrop, Texas, reporting to W. N. Norton Sub Assistant Commissioner for duty. 
The Quartermaster's Department will furnish the necessary transportation.
