I think, that 4/5 of all the Contracts in this District, will be for portions of the Crop.

The only difficulties I have in the performance of my duties, may be attributed to the want of Cavallry.  If I could send my Orders by mounted men, instead through the Post Office, they would be more promptly complied with, and my authority would also be better recognized and respected, by those, who live a considerable distance from town.  Twelve men in Command of a good Sergeant, would be quite sufficient for me.
