I have the honor to submit for the information of the Asst Comr. State of Texas the following report for the month of Febuary

Criminal Offences
The number of criminal offences committed by and against freed-people, that I have personal knowledge of - or that have been tried in the courts are as follows.

Class I Offences committed by whites againtst freed people
Murder in Grimes Co 1
Assault with intent to kill 2
Assualt and Battery 1 
Assault 2
Murder and Arson in Leon Co 1 
Destruction of Property by burning at Cypress 1 
Total 8 

Class II Offences committed by freed-people against freed-people
Assault with intent to commit rape 1
Assault and Battery 2
Assault 4
Total 7
