A school for Freedmens children will go into operation at Brazoria, the 1" of April, a building is procured and is in readiness for the pupils, the number of whom will extend the about fifty, between the ages of six and eighteen, average daily attendance.—

In regard to any manner in which the freedpeople can be best assisted in promoting education among them, I do not know of any plan better adapted to that end than that set forth in circular No. 4 dated March 29, 1867.
