I have the honor to report that I relieved Lt Al. F Manning. V.R.C. on the 25th of June 1867. in obedience to Special Orders 62 dated Head Qr's B R F &c, State of Texas Galveston Texas June 15th 1867.

In compliance with Circular letter dated Head Quarters Bureau  F and A Lands, Galveston Texas Dec 31st 1866. I have the honor to submit the following report:-

I started for this point from Galveston on the 17th inst. arrived in Navasota the same evening & had to lie over at that point untill Wednesday night. The crops at that point are with the exception of corn; a failure The Planters lay the blame to the Negroes but the recent heavy rains is the real cause. After leaving
