                                            6    "Report the disposition and feeling of the white people towards the freed people as expressed by words and actions."

Nothing has occurred during the month to enable me to express an opinion whether the disposition of the white towards the freed people has undergone any change for better or worse since last report.

                      EDUCATION.
"Report the feeling upon the subject of education; what steps have been taken to promote the same; what efforts the freed people are making in that direction and in what manner they may be assisted, &c., &c."

No steps have been taken in this direction Park co being but thirty settled considerable outlay would be required by the Government to establish a thorough system of education. In regard to the children of freedmen being in an around Weatherford I would respectfully refer to my report dated Sept 30th 1867.
