THE ROYAL
AMERICAN MAGAZINE,
OR UNIVERSAL
REPOSITORY OF INSTRUCTION AND AMUSEMENT.
For DECEMBER, 1774.

To the EDITOR of the ROYAL AMERICAN MAZAGINE.

SIR,

By inserting in your useful Miscellany the following brief description of the Person, Palace and Courtiers of King Tyranny, and also a
short account of his mode of government, just as it was represented in a DREAM, you will much oblige yours's, &c.

A DREAM

THAT the mind of man is capable of exercising all its powers and faculties without the assistance of the body appears very obvious from the discoveries the mind makes when the body is laid to sleep, and often the mind discovers that when the body is laid to sleep, which it could not explore when the body is awake and active; thus a few nights ago I obtained that in my sleep which I had studied in vain to obtain when I was awake, as it has for some time been the common report that Tyranny was about to erect his throne in this extensive country, and he being a monarch that neither my predecessors nor I were related to, I was desirous to see his person and to know something of the treatment that he gave his subjects before I submitted to his laws, and in order to compass this important point I proposed several methods to myself, first I thought to cross the atlantic and visit Great Britain
