| 1867. Dec. 26. | Unknown | Amos Lunsford Josiah Lunsford Rufus Sessions Americans | Three men were killed in an affray Dec. 26th 1867, near the line dividing Goliad and Victoria Counties. It is supposed that Rufus Sessions killed both the Lunsfords, when he got killed himself by parties unknown. The case was investigated by the court of this County, but failed to fix the murders on any individuals It has been carried to the Court of Victoria County as the affray occurred in that County. No criminal offenses have been committed against Freedpeople during the month of Dec. 1867. |
