that he would kill any one who attempted to arrest him or take his pistol from him.  The sheriff who was sent for made a feeble effort to arrest him but did not succeed.  After riding up and down the street an hour or two Bell condescended to allow himself to be persuaded and coaxed into Jones' Office where he gave bonds to the amount of one thousand dollars to appear Monday morning. As soon as this was done he immediately commenced parading the street as before with his cocked revolver in hand, threatening the lives of various parties and leveling his pistol at any one who came too close.  A good part of the next day Sunday he was riding about the streets in company with Jack Connor, heavily armed and evidently seeking some one to shoot.
His examination and that of Connor have not come off yet and if they ever do, will most likely be as great farces as previous ones.
