State of Texas vs H H. Frost Henry Mason sworn states, i saw mr. Frost take a piece of iron, when Baylass was leading his mule and run ahead of him & told Baylass if he did not stop he would kill him with this iron. Baylass told him not to strike him with that iron & he replied that he would kill him with it when he struck him three times, he told Baylass to leave the place. Baylass told him he would go to [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] Captain Rock Mr. Frost told him to go & Baylass started Mr. Frost then went to the house got his pistol and came back hunting for Baylass - came to where we were and inquired for Baylass - we told him we did not know where he was - he went to Mr. Poodis & inquired there & they told him which way Baylass went, & he went on in pursuit of him. I know nothing further heard nor saw no fire-arms. This occured yesterday May 28, 1867 in this County. Henry Mason his x mark Sworn to & subscribed in open court 29th May 1863 (sd) Jno H Hand J.P.
