"Report the disposition and feeling of the white people towards the freed people, as expressed by words and actions."

All quiet, no disturbances.

EDUCATION
"Report the feeling upon the subject of education; what steps have been taken to promote the same; what efforts the freed people are making in that direction, and in what manner they may be assisted, &c."

People are poor, two bad crops in succession, the freedpeople have worked for part of the crops, as the crops failed, they got but little, consequently have been pressed for a support. This year they have good crops and will have something to spare.
People generally seem disposed to favor education as far as able to contribute.
