"Report the disposition and feeling of the white people towards the freed people as expressed by words and actions."
   Since election of President the feeling of white towards Freedpeople as expressed has improved in temper and disposition.  Much bitterness may be expected if the Constitution is submitted to [[?]] for ratification.

EDUCATION.
"Report the feeling upon the subject of education; what steps have been taken to promote the same; what efforts the freed people are making in that direction and in what manner they may be assisted, &c. &c."
   Great anxiety expressed by the Freed people and a general desire by the white that they should be educated.  No steps have been taken for want of funds, and nothing will be done until aid is given by the Government to educate them.  The great aim among many now is to secure homesteads first.
