(19) One Upright Panel., by Kinmochi Kose. Japanese.

Colors and gold on silk.
Monju seated upon a lion, holds a sword in the right hand and a lotus stem with bud, bearing scriptures, in left hand.
A small attendant stands in the lower left corner.
Clouds below and behind the lion.
At the top of the picture two small panels with writing, one white, the other red, a third panel at left dimly seen.
Unsigned.
24 1/2" high, 10" wide without frame and mount.
39 1/4" high including frame and mount.
