I have just measured the cases myself. The lengths of 6 feet and 8 feet, respectively, refer to the wooden framework about the glass, which framework projects beyond the glass nearly an inch at each end. I would say, moreover, that there is a scanting in most of the measurements, ranging from 1/16 to 1/4 of an inch, but I do not feel that this should be taken into consideration now that the cases are here. The attention of the Biele Company might, however, be called to this fact. Furthermore, if Mr. Freer's measurements relate to the glass itself and not to the wooden framework, the company should be informed. The difference, though, is very slight. By the wooden framework I mean that in which the side glass is set, and not the bases or tables, which are all right.
I note what you say about the cases to come from Detroit. Mr. Freer stated that some would be sent from there, but did not specify which.
I am very glad to be able to report so favorably on this matter, as I was somewhat troubled about the apparent error.

Very truly yours,
R. Rathbun
