Mr. N.E. Montross,
1380 Broadway, New York.

My dear Montross:

I am just back from New York this morning after a hasty trip. Had hoped to be able to see you but my time was too short.

I had a very hasty glimpse of the Seney collection and saw the Tryon water color. It is interesting as are all of his things, but I have an example of practically the same period which pleases me better than the one in the Seney sale, therefore I do not care to purchase the latter.

Thanking you for your kindness, I remain,

Yours truly,
C.L. Freer
