Mr. Harrison S. Morris,
Managing Director, Penna. Academy of Fine Arts,
Philadelphia, Pa.

Dear Sir:

I visited the World’s Fair last week accompanied by Mr. T.W. Dewing, and on examining his picture entitled “The Musician”, which is to go to your exhibition, we find that certain parts of it have “crawled.” Mr. Dewing desires to re-touch the picture before sending it to Philadelphia. I have consequently requested Mr. Ives to forward the painting to New York. After its arrival, Mr. Dewing will do the necessary re-touching and have the picture forwarded to you in time for your exhibition.

Yours very truly,
C.L. Freer
