TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN.

The bearer hereof, Mr. Peter B. Blain, has been employed by the Peninsular Car Co. and the consolidated Michigan-Peninsular Car Co. nearly thirteen years, during which time he has occupied various positions of responsibility, including for a number of years the foremanship of our largest planing mill. He is an excellent mechanic, industrious and enterprising, and we cheerfully recommend him to any company requiring services such as he can offer. I would further add that he retired from our employ voluntarily.

Yours truly,
C. L. Freer
Managing Director.
