Personal

(X)

April 4, 1894.

Mr. Chauncey I. Filley,
2700 Chestnut St.,
St. Louis, Mo.

My dear Sir:

Your personal letter of April 2 addressed to Col. Hecker came in this morning’s mail, and in his absence was opened by the writer.

Col. Hecker went to France last January, since when he has been traveling in Italy and Egypt. Mrs. Hecker and their youngest daughter leave Detroit to-night to meet Mr. Hecker in France, and it is probable that they will remain abroad until about July 1. As I know Col. Hecker will be interested in the contents of your letter, I will to-day forward same to him.

Yours very truly,
C. L. Freer
