Dear Jordan:

Notwithstanding the fact that you have been frequently in my mind of late, I had quite forgotten until to-day that I owed you for those flowers sent to Mrs. Hecker. I inclose herein draft on New York for $9.50, which I believe is the amount you stated they cost, and I hope you will pardon my forgetfulness.

The 50 engravings of “Springtime” came to my house yesterday in safety from Kingsley. I have had only a moment’s time to give them, so know very little of the success of the printing.

With kindest regards,

Yours very truly,
C. L. Freer
