May 14, 1894.

Mr. John F. Johnson,
C/o State Nat. Bank,
Logansport, Ind.

Dear Johnson:

Your letter of May 2 was received and mislaid during my absence in New York. It remained buried from sight until the receipt of your letter of 12th inst., which accounts for its not having been replied to.

We are willing to extend the note, and if you will send a new note with check for accrued interest, we will cancel and return the old one.

With personal regards, I remain,

Yours very truly,
CL Freer
