Dear Will:

Watson accompanied by his wife and baby and nurse, also Louise Hecker, start from Detroit on Thursday afternoon and will leave Albany Friday morning by the New York day boat, which arrives at Rhinecliff about noon. I have today written George about the matter, and I wish that either you or he would go to Rhinecliff and accompany the party to their destination. Better have your team at Rondout to drive them up, also make arrangements for their baggage. I have written George to give his close personal attention to Watson while at Kingston. I know of course you will be with him yourself more or less of your time, but if you can possibly do so, it would perhaps be better for you to go with him in the mountains, letting George take care of him more particularly while at Kingston. Louise Hecker accompanies the party so as to help Anna and be company for her. Everything seems to be thoroughly organized for the trip, and what they need now is somebody to see that Watson is not exposed to the heat. I wish you would consult with George and read the letter I have written him to-day, which will explain all. It is of the greatest importance that Watson is not allowed to do any driving or to expose himself to the heat. I am sure that you need only to be cautioned on these matters to see that proper care is exercised.

Yours ever,
Mr. W.H. Freer,

Kingston,
Ulster Co., N.Y.
