Messrs. T. [[?]] [[?]]
112 [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] City.

Gentlemen:

Your note of 27th inst. is received and noted. All I know concerning the matter is the particulars given in your note. I think your salesman must have misunderstood my man. He is a Frenchman and his knowledge of the English language is very limited. His instructions are to pay cash for everything he buys, and I think what you consider like temper on his part was simply annoyance at not fully understanding the clerk who waited upon him. I regret that any misunderstanding should have happened and such.

Yours truly,
C. L. Freer
