Dec. 21/95.

Mr. A. H. Davenport,
299 Fifth Ave., New York.

Dear Sir:

Referring to the conversation had with your Mr. Brown and the sketches for high-back library chairs returned herewith, none of the designs submitted please me. I want a chair something on the plan of the one marked “A” but without leather, to have a simpler cross piece between the two front legs, to be all of oak, and generally speaking of dignified effect. With these suggestions, can you submit me a sketch?

Yours truly,
C.L. Freer.
H.
