March 6/96.

Mr. Tozo Takayanagi,
160 Fifth Ave, New York.

My dear Mr. Takayanagi:

The box you sent me some weeks ago containing potteries, etc., was received during my absence and was held here some time for that reason. As son as I had an opportunity, I examined the various pieces, but as none of them particularly appealed to me I decided to return all to you and did so about one week ago, charges prepaid. I hoped the box reached you safely and beg to thank you for your kindness in permitting me to see the pieces sent.

With personal regards, I remain,

Yours truly,
Charles L. Freer
