March 10/96.

Messrs. W. S. Budworth & Son,
424 West 52nd St., New York.

Gentlemen:

I shipped to your address as above yesterday, charges prepaid, a large painting by D.W. Tryon which he desires to exhibit at the coming exhibition of the Society of American Artists. As the paintings are wanted for examination by the 13th inst., I hope that on receipt of the picture you will deliver it promptly at the proper place. I presume of course you are informed as to where pictures are to be delivered. If in doubt, please inquire of Mr. Tryon at 226 West 59th St. and he will advise you. As this picture is to be returned to me after the close of the exhibition, please keep the box in which it goes to you and use same for the return of the picture, and oblige,

Yours truly,
Charles L. Freer
