June 1/96.

Messrs. Yamanaka & Co.,
20 West 27th St., New York.

Gentlemen:

Referring to the conversation had with you on Wednesday last and the arrangement then entered into by which you were to deliver to me the Ritsou panel and I was to return to you the Kakemono purchased some time ago from you and to pay you in addition $75.00, I take pleasure in handing you inclosed herewith draft on New York for $75.00 in settlement of the account.

The Kakemono by Ritsou above mentioned goes to you by express to-day along with the Korin which was sent on approval some days ago. As mentioned to you, the Korin does not particularly interest me, therefore I do not wish to purchase it. I am however much obliged to you for your kindness in permitting me to examine same.

Yours truly,
Charles L Freer

P.S. The express charges on the two Kakemonos going to you will be paid here.
