Mr. J.M. Worthington,
29 Washington Ave., Elyria, O.

Dear Sir:

Replying to your inquiry, I would say that Robert Kennedy acted as my butler for a few weeks and did his work fairly well. He is a very willing worker and serves at table quite well. He is also useful in caring for windows, etc. He has not however had thoroughly first-class training, hence he is not familiar with the best methods of caring for silver, etc. As colored men go, however, I consider him much above the average. I can add that while in my employ he did not drink, was polite, and offered no objections to late and early hours.

Yours truly,
Charles L. Freer
