The entire Peninsular Plant in all Departments will be out of work by Sept. 25th, so probabilities are, that Oct. 1st, will find us in the midst of stagnation. These are not very cheerful facts to present to the Senator, and whether or not you will give them to him I leave to your own discretion. The most cheerful experience we have here, is, the inflow of funds; I have never known such prompt payment of accounts as we are receiving.

After providing for the payment of dividend and interests we have $300,000.00 in bank.

Yours very truly,
Charles L. Freer
