Mr. James M. Hart,
220 Boylston St., Boston, Mass.

Dear Sir:

Acknowledging your note of the 24th inst., allow me to apologize for having kept your Whistler prints so long. An absence of two weeks, together with a week of physical dullness which took me from all desire to look at prints or anything else, has allowed your package to remain uncut. I trust that during the early part of next week I will have sufficiently recovered to have some interest in such matters, when I will devote sufficient time to view the prints as they should be viewed, and then write you definitely concerning them.

Yours truly,
Charles L. Freer
