The Surgeon of the Post has been treating them and giving them medicines from his supply (which is very small) indeed and not sufficient for the demand of the troops here. He is willing to treat them (and does do so to the best of his ability) if he could get the supply of medicines required for that purpose, if you can furnish the articles above mentioned, I will get a list from him of such articles as are mostly required for their treatment. |

NOTES:-1. All fourteen years of age and over, counted as adults; all under, children. Dependents include the homeless, too young or too old to labor, and those permanently disabled, and those temporarily sheltered and fed.
2. Refugees and Freedmen will be borne on Separate returns.
3. The back of this return may be used for such further remarks as may be of interest or useful to the Commissioner.
