|   |   |   |   |   |   |   |   |   |   |   |   |   | Not knowing what constitutes abandoned land or what the Bureau considers abandoned lands, thare is several tracts here that thare is no owners known in this State. Some 20,000 acres was bought in the name of Ludovic Colquehon in the year of 1838 or 9 for a company of Virginians  these land are on the Brazos River  no owers or claimant in this State  I am contesting the title to one league of these land in the Supreme Court of this state  the balance is not contested as yet I probably could find fifty Thousand acres of lands in this situation in this section of the state  if these is abandoned lands thare is pleanty up here  please let me hear from you on this matter  thare is some here said to belong to some one in North Carolina  I ought to be informed what constitutes abandoned lands as I have never seen the laws in regard to them  Philip Howard  over |
