Reports that the Coumd'g Officer, Post of Centreville where directed by S.O No. 137, H'd Q'rs Dist of Texas, to send him 6 picked men to relieve the men who had previously been performing duty there  did send him 6 men, four of whom were sick, and are still unable to perform duty, having been taken from the sick Report, States that with the force he has is unable to make arrests, or preserve peace, especially when the civil authorities are powerless. Encloses affidavit of J.W. Burns, &c. |

This disposition &c understands that he Brazier has gone to Galveston to prefer charges against him, requests his arrests if such is the case. |
