Bastrop Texas June 22. 1867  Returns papers in case of Dr. Lane. & states that the Contracts made were evidently drawn to deprive the (f.m) of his just rights. That Mr McGinnis is anxious to have an adjudication in the Civil Courts. but thinks the Civil Authorities could not wrench the money for the Cotton from him. The (fm) are entitled to money. value of 7 bales of Cotton. 16c per lb. Coin, which Dr Lane has in possession, States also his non payment of laborers for 1865 |

Referred to Isaac Johnson S.A.C. at La Grange  E.B. 522. | 185  Fayettville July 30. 1867  States that Mr Bock a Union man living in Parker County was persecuted by the sons of a near neighbor, one of them came to his house to shoot a dog, when Mr. B. shot at the young man doing no damage. A bill was brought against him by the Grand Jury. Mr B gave Bonds and paid them, and removed to Colorado Co. New papers have been issued for his arrest  Is sure justice will not be done to him if he is carried back to Parker County. |

States that he arrested him and had him confined, was subsequently released on bail. was rearrested and turned over to the Military Authorities at Prairie Lea. where he is now confined. |

Requests that his dicision in regard to the horse be approved. |
