States that the members of the Board of Fannin County suggest that How. H. Hart, of Hunt. Co. be appointed District Judge of the 7th Judicial District, being well qualified to fill the same. |

| Aug 8 | Robb. Saml. T. *  Filed. | 127 3  Sumpter. Texas. July 27, 1867. States that W. C. Cuthbert who participated in the rebellion, & held office under the C.S. Government, is now County Clerk thereby perjures himself, by taking the test oath. |

States that he has that day written officially, has been at work on the charges against Duty & Wetsett, that they are most notorious scoundrels, no chance of them getting justice until the Courts are reorganized. That Judge Latimer is sick, has assumed his duties, that he wishes to be relieved. That if he (Lt Roberts) is chosen to fill his place, he would decline it before hand. |

States the charges of Duty & Wetsett (Prisoners) attempting to murder a citizen named Cooper, also that they are lawless men, and that they should be tried by a Military Commission to have justice done them, as Civil Courts are worthless, &ce. |
