| March 17. | Smith, Eugene. Lieut. * Sub-Asst. Comr (Filed) | 1 Waco, Texas. March 12th 1866 - Forwards application of Capt - but thinks Capt's Reg. is out of Service - states there is a small company of Regulars at Waco need more troops. | 

| April 14 | Smith Eugene, Lieut. S.A.C. See E.B. Page, 13. | 2. Waco, Texas. April 9th 1866. Transmits proceedings in case of Perry Evans v.s. Wesley Hanks - consulted Laywer for defense and found that the case rested upon another (Viz) Andrew Robinson v.s. Wesley Hanks - Hanks states that he would his case rest upon decision in case of Robinson vs. Hanks, which case was set for trial March 14 1866, on that day Robinson was present Hanks was not, I then took Robinson's statement which is enclosed. Thinks Evans and Robinson have an undoubted right to the property  Refers the case to Hd Qrs. B.R. &c state of Texas for decision, as the case is an important one as a precedent - Seven (7) enclosures - | 

| April 18 | Sloan, S.C. Capt and S.A.C. See E.B. page, 14. | 3. Richmond Texas, April 16th 1866. Has this day closed and put a guard over the store of R.N. Neely for refusing to pay in accordance with decision of his office. Mr Neely has funds to pay and is the Agent of Dr Retterson but refuses to do on the ground that the Bureau has no jurisdiction in the matter. |
